Emory emergency medicine faculty have been productive as usual! At the American College of Emergency Physicians Annual Meeting, our faculty were part of 12 didactic talks, moderated sessions, and paper presentations. Our own Dr. Arthur Kellermann gave the James D Mills Jr Memorial Lecture "Laying the Groundwork for Changing Emergency Medicine in the US".
Dr. Douglas Ander was recently recognized by the American Association of Medical Colleges with the Outstanding MedEdPortal Reviewer Award.
Drs. Leon Haley, Robin Hemphill, and Deb Houry recently were awarded a research grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to study how pay for performance impacts care in the emergency department.
Dr. Jeremy Hess was a guest editor for the November 2008 American Journal of Preventive Medicine issue on Climate Change.
